Since its founding, Atlanta has been a hub of commerce and transportation, known for bringing together diverse people and ideas. Similarly, the Society has a long history of being the hub for multidisciplinary materials research and applied solutions for healthcare. Atlanta thus provides the perfect backdrop for the 2018 Society for Biomaterials annual meeting, which will act as a “nexus” to further opportunities for collaboration across diverse scientific disciplines, from biology and material science, to chemistry, physics, medicine and engineering.
Abstract Deadline October 23rd!
The Program Committee is soliciting abstracts in 60 distinct categories, with special emphasis being given to the categories represented by the Society's Special Interest Groups (SIGs). This year, SIGs will be given much more latitude to create sessions from the abstracts submitted to the SIG. Click here for more information or submit an abstract now.
The 2018 Program Committee is working to include the *Biomaterials Techology in Industry* and Thought Leader session types that were piloted in 2017. The 2018 Program will also include a "Career Catalysis" track to help student, postdocs and those looking to advance their careers!
