Dr. Mehdi Razavi is Director of Electrophysiology Clinical Research at the Texas Heart Institute. He attended medical school at the Medical College of Pennsylvania. He completed his residency, cardiology fellowship, and electrophysiology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine and is also a Research Scientist at the Texas Heart Institute in Houston. He has over 20 patents to his name and currently has grant funding from the American Heart Association in collaboration with Rice University to study carbon nanotube fibers to improve function of diseased myocardium. He has founded multiple medical device startups including Saranas and Nanolinea
